Community Day: Vision Work – Connecting with the dream that inspires my life

«Vision work» is the intention to connect with the dream that inspires my life. ~ Y.M.

Sunday, 10 – 17.30 h, January 4, 2026

This community day will be held in English.

Required experience: Completion of a foundation course in empathy and conflict resolution at Empathie Initiative, or a comparable format (a minimum of 21h training in Nonviolent Communication).

What to expect: This community day with Martina Pesce and Matthias Flury will include meditations, writing exercises, and duet/group sharing practices connected to vision work that involve empathic listening and are grounded in Nonviolent Communication.

Through Nonviolent Communication and connecting to my needs

  • I want to connect with the power that motivates my actions. I want to root myself in my ‘calling’ and move towards the life, the relationships and the world that I’m here to create.
  • I want to move beyond my mind’s understanding of what I’m supposed to do and which goals to follow (or which New Year’s resolution). I want to let myself fall into my body’s wisdom to guide me & to move in union with it – effortlessly like water flowing down a mountain stream.
  • I want to remember the core of what matters to me and to empower my actions to be sourced by my values. And to move into a way of being, which plays me in my strengths in my unique ways, which makes my contribution to life, to nature, to love, to God grow and flourish. To move closer to the place where my doing turns into playful being, harmonious within myself and within the universe.‘Vision Work’ is to tap into the vulnerable and tender place where our deepest dreams live.

We tend to protect them, because the life living in them is so delicate. They’re often just ideas or not even yet – living in us more as abstract longing, as vague images or a felt sense. Or they might be very clear, but we hide them, since they seem not to be welcome by our surroundings. Or we don’t even dare to look at them because it’s too painful – knowing what we’re longing for but not being able to reach it. Or maybe we’re still grieving the loss of what is most precious to us and we don’t dare believe that something as beautiful might thrive again.

Connecting with them can be scary. There might be a lot of shame involved. And listening to them, following them, could have so far-reaching implications for our lives, relationships and place in the world, that we don’t dare to touch them.

Knowing all of this, we want to move very carefully into the place where our dreams are kept. We honour the resistance on the way, listen to their wisdom and find ways to take them by the hand, while we discover our dreams more intimately.
